Michael Alterman is a South Florida native, raised in Cooper City/Hollywood, FL in Broward County. He attended college at the University of Florida and law school at St. Thomas University. Following law school, Michael spent time in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania working on commercial litigation and predatory lending cases. In 2009, Michael returned to South Florida where he litigated real estate and lending disputes on behalf of many of the major banking institutions. Prior to starting his own firm, he worked for Block & Scarpa where he managed the Fort Lauderdale office. He previously owned and operated a title company and law practice dedicated to real estate law and civil and commercial disputes. Michael has been practicing real estate law for over a decade with a focus on title issues, commercial and residential landlord-tenant matters, condominium and homeowner’s associations, foreclosure defense, and both residential and commercial real estate closings. Foreclosures in Broward, Palm Beach and Dade Counties are Michael's specialty, and he can help! Michael also handles business formation, transactions, and general commercial and civil litigation matters. Michael provides a rare benefit of applying his transactional knowledge in the courtroom where he represents clients in hearings and trials in most of the counties throughout the state of Florida.

When Michael isn't solving complex legal matters and advocating for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching all Florida sports teams, the beach and traveling.

Practicing primarily in Broward County, Palm Beach County and Dade County.
